Munich, Germany - Scotland faced a crushing defeat in their Euro 2024 opener against Germany, losing 3-0 in a dominant performance from the hosts. Despite battling hard, Scotland's efforts were hindered by a red card and a lack of composure against a clinical German attack.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring for Germany in the 12th minute, followed by Florian Wirtz in the 25th. Jamal Musiala added a third just before the half-time whistle, putting Scotland in a difficult position.
